Brisbane city and many suburbs are still under water. Lots of roads, including major highways, are still closed due to water or sludge and rubbish left over from flooding. But I'm wondering if maybe it does have a leak due to the puddle (it was only a small puddle but a puddle is a puddle).Īnd, yep, Brisbane is pretty darn wet at the moment but fortunately I'm safe where I am. Will check about sensor as suggested and maybe that's it. I drove to work this morning and I didn't get any light on so I'm a little confused. Had a check later and the stick was half way down and I noticed there was a little puddle under the car which I can only assume is coolant, but I don't know for sure, but the stick is definately lower. I got home and popped the top to let it cool down. The light came on again but went off when I stopped at traffic lights. Thanks - I filled the coolant up to the second bobble on the stick yesterday and went for a drive. Has anyone got any ideas what is going on? I'm not sure if there is actually a problem as the temperature hasn't moved but I don't like the fact the light flashed on, then off again. The temperature gauge is right smack in the middle which is where it has always been and again when I checked the coolant level, it's where it says it should be according to the indicator stick. The light didn't come on again for a day, but today it came on and stayed on longer. I popped a little coolant in there just incase it was a little low and hence the reason why the light when on then off. When I opened the coolant cap, I realised that the indicator stick was where it was saying it should be in the manual (poking up just above the rim). I found out from my service department what type of coolant to use (green) and bought what I needed. I checked the manual and it said to add coolant. I noticed in the last week that my coolant light would flash on, stay on for a few minutes and then disappear. ![]()
